The CatSitz Care Card

Every CatSitz booking will have one: what they eat, what they take, where they hide, which vet to ring. Your sitter will work from it, so nothing depends on memory alone.

Every sitter who looks after your cat works from the same card, kept current as things change.

What's on it

The things a sitter can't guess.

Food

What they eat, how much and when, and anything they mustn't have.

Medication

What they take, the dose, and how they're used to taking it.

Where they hide

The places your cat goes when someone new arrives, so your sitter knows where to look before they worry.

Your vet

Your vet's details. If you'd like your sitter to have an emergency contact, send it in the booking chat once they've accepted.

How to get in

A description of the way in: which door, where the key is kept, which flat. Never the codes themselves.

Anything else

The small things only you know, like the window that doesn't shut properly or the time they expect supper.

On the booking

How your sitter uses it.

Read before the first visit

Your sitter sees the Care Card with your booking, so they know your cat before they walk in.

Kept with the booking

Your updates, photos and messages will stay with the booking.

Keys and codes

Codes never go on the card.

Your Care Card describes how to get in, but it never holds door codes, alarm codes or keysafe numbers. Once your sitter has accepted the booking, you send those to them in the booking chat.

When things change

Updated as your cat's needs change.

A new medication, a change of food, a different vet: your Care Card is updated so the next sitter works from what's true now, not what was true last time.

If something's changed

Right now, if something's changed since your Care Card was written: message your sitter directly in the booking chat. We're building a proper way to update the card itself.

Who can see a Care Card

You, your current sitter once they've accepted your booking, and CatSitz. Sitters will agree to keep it confidential.
