Cats in Tower Hamlets

Tower Hamlets runs from the edge of the City at Shoreditch and Whitechapel out through Bethnal Green, Stepney and Bow to the towers of Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs, and it's one of the fastest-changing parts of London. Most cats here live in flats: Victorian terraces split into conversions around Bethnal Green and Bow, large council estates across Stepney and Poplar, warehouse conversions in Wapping, and high-rise blocks by the river and the docks. Gardens are rare and small, so many cats are kept indoors, some with a balcony. Near Victoria Park and the Regent's Canal there are more houses with back gardens, and local cats there are used to foxes. In newer blocks a visit usually means a concierge or fob entry, often with a lift; in older estates it's a buzzer and a stairwell. Describe the way in on your Care Card and send any codes in the booking chat once your sitter has accepted. With the Central, District and Elizabeth lines and the DLR, a nearby sitter can fit a morning and an evening visit around their day.
